A normal healthy adult has a platelet count of 150000 to 450000 platelets per of blood.

The number of high risk dengue infected patient may drop below 20000.when this the risk of bleeding is highest.

However in many cases of dengue infection the platelets count change rapidly. Low platelet count and sign of bleeding.

platelet replacement is required. The normal increase in platelet count in the body requires a diet in vitamins, Vitamin E,Vitamin K,Folic and potassium.

Doctor use simple blood tests for dengue fever. These test can check for the viral antibodies. The most definitive test for dengue known as Dengue NS1 antigen test.which can help identifying the fever early and with more promptness.For the patients presenting more than 1 week after fever onset IGM detection is most useful.although NS1 has sea a reported positive up to 12 days after fever onset.The platelet count should be monitored carefully and regularly. A complete blood count CBC test gives a complete blood picture along with the platelet count. Make sure to get tested on time.if you have dengue you Will be positive for dengue NS1 antigen.

In many part of the word a dengue vaccine has been developed. It is given in three doses over a year.

Any special Medicine and Injections for the treatment of dengue not yet discovered. Health care professionals advice Paracetamol can by taken for dengue fever. An average adult with normal weight can take up to four tablets of paracetamol per day.

on the other hand maximum dose of paracetamol is four grams per day.however it an individual has complications related to the liver,heart,or kedneys.It is essential to consult a doctor before taking paracetamol. The diseases level increases excessively when the patient hospitalization and keeping under medical supervision very important.

Dengue is a mosquito borne disease. So save yourself and your family from mosquito bites.

Don't allow water to accumulate around the home.Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water.wear clothing that covers the body such as long sleeves dress,long pants and shoes.

Use mosquito nets while sleeping at night.and mosquito repellent chemicals such as permetherin  and be extra careful this time.

• Avoid high fat food.
• Non vegetarian food.
• Oily food
• Grill

You should plenty of fluids.

For example

• coconut water.
• lemon juice
• Fruit juice
• Vitamin C and vegetables.
• Zinc (Seafood, Beans and Nuts)
• Iron (Meat and beans)
• Papaya
